Hoi An Ancient Town

Hoi An, the hidden charm

hoian1.jpeg
I have read about Hoi An on some newspaper. I know that it is a unique ancient town of Vietnam. Last year, my family decided to choose Hoi An for our vacation. We have traveled some main destinations in Vietnam such as the capital Hanoi, the biggest city Ho Chi Minh and the beach city Nha Trang, but it was the first time we traveled Hoi An.

Can you guess what was our first feeling when we came here? We were surprised. Yes, it is the truth, we were amazed by it quite atmosphere. Being different from the bustle and hustle of big cities, Hoi An ancient town is very peaceful. It has no fashionable shops with loud music or cafe bars, it just has small houses, little shops. Yes it is so strange and great. Staying here for more than 1 week, we felt really good and comfortable. We seemed to be out of stress and worried nothing. I think it is the greatest thing we gained from the tour.
Hoi An is a small town but it plays an important role in preserving cultural values of Vietnam. There are little change in Hanoi in the past and Hanoi nowadays. The town isn't affected by the more and more society.
We are very pleased with our tour, Hoi An left deep impressions on our mind

Hanoi in the autumn

One day travel Hanoi gave me special feelings...

Hanoi on my mind
I have traveled to Hanoi many times but it was the first time I went to Hanoi in the autumn, the best season in Vietnam. Some of my friends said that Hanoi is one of the most modern city in Vietnam, of course I agreed with their ideas, but I also realize that Hanoi still keeps and remains its outstanding cultural features. My one day tour approved my point.
My tour in Hanoi started by a visit the Temple of Literature known as the first university in Vietnam. I touched on the heads of turtles like many Vietnamese people with the hope of receiving luckiness, success in career. it was very interesting. Then I had a chance to visit One Pillar Pagoda and Quan Thanh Pagoda which are the oldest pagodas in Vietnam. Part from the bustle and hustle outside, I could enjoy the quite and peaceful atmosphere here. If I hadn't experienced myself, I wouldn't have imagined that there were such a wonderful atmosphere in the center of the capital like that. After having lunch and taking a short nap, my tour continued with other beautiful places such as West Lake, Restored Sword Lake where I heard about the legend of restoring sword. Thanks to my short tour I could broaden my mind, understand more about the traditional features of Hanoi beside its modern life.
And there is another thing I want to share. the Hanoi food is great and cheap. It has special taste. Each street has its specialty. I still regret not staying in Hanoi longer to enjoy all kinds of food here. Yes, certainly I will come back.
